Syria
I don't believe that what is happening in Syria is genocide. I believe that it is just the government trying to stay in power. Genocide is not political they are not getting rid of people for their ethnicity, religion, sex, etc. I believe that the international community should still try and help the people who are being killed because I still feel that they should get aid even though it isn't genocide.

Who's to Blame?
I blame humanity for what happened in Rwanda and genocide in general. I believe this because human are too stupid to learn from their mistakes. Genocide has happened many times before because someone always wants more power than another or doesn't like another. Also the people who started the problem like the Belgians who favored the Tutsis. In addition, the people who stand by are also responsible because they should try and save the people who are being killed even if it isn't "their problem." Humanity should try and make an effort to help each other even if it isn't their country.

Responsibility Worksheet
I believe that the response of one o Hitler's direct subordinates should have been to refuse to do their job and explain why it was wrong to kill Jews. They were some of the main people giving the orders that Hitler wanted so if they didn't do them and said why Hitler may have looked at what he was doing. In addition I believe that the US should have excepted more Jews to come in because they knew what was happening. I also believe they should have speed up the visa process because they knew that people were being killed. I also believe that US troops should have been sent to some of the concentration camps to free the people that were held in them. In response to current genocides that are happening today I believe that the international community should not cover it up and act like nothing is happening. I also believe that they should do their best to figure it out and see if there is any possible way they can help the victims.

Question 3
If I were the editor or director of Defiance I would pick option A. I would pick this option because I feel that it was necessary for them to kill him because he would have gone back to his troops and told them where they were hiding. I also think that by not beating him to death would be showing that they are not like the Germans and that they could have the restraint to be a better people. I think it would show the Jews in a better light. I personally think that revenge doesn't solve anything it just cause some pain and conflict. I also believe that just because you cause the other group harm the things/people that you lost are still gone. Even though it feels good it won't bring them back, what has been done is done and it's up to you weather you decide to be the bigger person.
